This is for every Black man who has been killed because of racial violence. It is unfair, but it continues, and I am unsure when or if it will ever cease. Until that time, I will be a voice for those who cannot speak.
Here we are just walking
down the street
saying
saying
Damn another one gone
Blood marks on the streets
Police cars all around
Granny sitting on the corner
hands on her face
Tears rolling
Mother's yelling
uncontrolling
Father's knelling
by his son's body
Why did they shoot him (Whispers)
Why did they shoot him!!! (Screams)
He was walking in a neighborhood
Where no one knew him
Walking
Are You Serious
A black man gone
Early to soon at the break of dawn
This has been going on way to long
The police keep trying to make wrong right
We have to fighting
for the ones that's dying
Let's keep trying
and stop denying
Keep the parents from
crying
Keep the caskets from
buying
Keep the killers from
lying
WHEW......I tried of this
Watching my sisters in black dresses
Seeing my brothers in black suits
Ordering shirts that's say
REST IN PEACE
Sitting under a tent
This is just too much and
It has got too stop
Let's keep the brothers
from holding their friend's body
Wasting money on obituaries
it's all just so unnecessary
Picking out pictures
to remember them by
Why are we paying a pastor
to speak on their lives
My head is spinning
"I CAN'T BREATHE"
Unfortunately, was something that was
trending
We want our black men to keep winning
so, stop the killing
We want our black men to know its
okay to go
-WALKING-

It speaks to the hearts of many. Thanks!
